The idea for Morvoren arose from the invocations and chants in Gemma Gary’s book The Devils Dozen – Thirteen Craft Rites of the Old One.
The book contains many invocations that naturally lent themselves to being put to music.
Morvoren combines folk music influences and the hauntingly atmospheric use of a synth to create a unique sound.
The bodhran and percussion instruments are played by Gemma Gary.
The guitar, bouzouki and synth by Jane Cox.
Music arrangement, composition, vocals and fiddle by Anna Dowling.
